Improvisation & the Classical Pianist
You may have observed that musicians are often either readers, or ear players, or jazz improvisers. Recently, many music-reading Classical musicians have begun to envision themselves, as improvisers as well. Through a formal research project, and informal study and experimentation, I am working to develop a curriculum that gives piano players the tools to be able to make up their own music at the piano. "Learn to Improvise in 20 minutes a Day". Click on the free download for an improv activity for musicians who already have proficiency at the piano.
